Adoption Center Hours

The Lakeshore Humane is staffed with 100% volunteers.  Therefore, we do not have set hours.  We are available by appointment by calling 672-1991.  Please check this sight frequently for announcements of Open House/Adoption Days.

Make Pet Adoption Your First Option!®

American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)

You must be 21 years or older to adopt a pet from our organization.

Please be sure to fill out a Pet Adoption application.  This application may be downloaded from our site under “Adopt A Pet” or “Adoption Days”.  This is the first step in the adoption process.  References and veterinarian(s) references will be checked.  A pre-home visit is required for all dog adoptions.

Adoption Fees are:

Dogs: $80.00

Cats: $60.00 (if two are adopted the same day, then the second adoption fee is $30.00)

Senior Discounts for individuals 55 or over:

Cats: 5 years or older the adoption fee is $30.00

Dogs: 5 years or older the adoption fee is $40.00

Waiting List for Cats

 

Because of the large volume of calls, we would like everyone to know that we have a waiting list for cats.  Please call our 672.1991 number and request to be placed on the waiting list for cats if you wish to surrender your cat or if you have found a cat.  Please make sure to leave your contact information as we update the list frequently to verify that the cat/cats still need to be brought in.  Thank you for your understanding and patience.
